SNC-Lavalin donates advanced life support ambulances to leading government and charitable hospitals in India

Bengaluru: August 9, 2021 – SNC-Lavalin is pleased to donate two advanced life support ambulances to Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and St Philomena’s Hospital on July 24, 2021, as part of its COVID-19 relief and outreach efforts in India. As an advanced life support system, these ambulances are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge tools to administer medical treatment to critical patients during transit and help save precious lives.

We are confident that these ambulances with lifesaving equipment will enable hospitals to provide the first line of treatment to patients, which often is a concern.”

The ambulances will operate free of cost, providing access to medical care to communities living in poverty, and will cater to about 12.5% population living in urban settlements in Bengaluru. They will also be used to respond to medical emergencies, transporting paramedics and other first responders to the scene, carrying equipment and aids for administering emergency care, and transporting patients to hospitals.

SNC-Lavalin’s NGO partners in India, United Way of Bengaluru and Happy World Foundation facilitated the donation, working closely with our CSR team and the hospitals to hand over the ambulances at a ceremony held in Bengaluru, India.
