Organisations around the world are achieving businesses growth and improvement through capitalising on the benefits that digital technologies offer to help deliver their strategic goals. But while digital transformation is a buzzword in many sectors today, we wanted to explore whether actual and planned technology adoption was matching the hype.
To find out more, we worked with Cadence Marketing to gain views from organisations across defence, construction and critical national infrastructure (CNI). Participants shared their thoughts on a wide range of subjects – take a look at the first of our survey findings below, in our paper ‘Delivering digital transformation: exploring cross-industry opinions of technology adoption’. Alongside these findings, we offer insights from our digital experts on the topics discussed.
Our first paper explores respondents’ views on their digital maturity, and some of the key technologies such as modelling and AI that they were keen to adopt. We discuss the enablers and barriers identified by those who took part in the survey, and suggest that taking a ‘wait and see’ approach to digital adoption may not make the best business sense.
Respondents to our survey also discussed whether their organisations were using technology to pursue their Net Zero targets, and the digital tools they favoured for data capture/asset management, as well as the challenges they faced in cybersecurity and in obtaining actionable insights from their data. Plus they gave us their opinion on the ‘hot topic’ of artificial intelligence (AI). Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking a deeper dive into each of these subjects – watch this space!
If you’d like to talk to us about any aspect of your organisation’s digital adoption – from barriers faced to the best technologies to meet your needs – please do get in touch.
