The New Champlain Bridge Corridor Project has been conducted under a public-private partnership agreement between the Government of Canada and Signature on the Saint Lawrence Group. AtkinsRéalis, along with partners ACS and HOCHTIEF, is part of the Signature on the Saint Lawrence Group consortium, which was responsible for the design, construction, financing, operations and maintenance, and rehabilitation of the project.

Facts about the project:
- Signature on the Saint-Lawrence and Infrastructure Canada have earned the ENVISION® Platinum award from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure for work on the new Samuel De Champlain Bridge. This is the first ENVISION® project evaluated in Quebec and the first large-scale bridge in Canada to receive the award. Read more.
- The newly-designed highway allows safe connections to existing highways and roads with a series of interchanges.
- In addition to the traffic lanes, the transit corridor bridge between the north- and southbound highway bridge will accommodate the new Réseau express métropolitain (REM).
- Cyclists and pedestrians can travel safely along the multi-use path on the northbound structure, and enjoy exceptional views of the city from each of the four observation points en route.
