ORLANDO, Fla., USA: Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, has welcomed Rosa Rountree as National Operations Director for the Tolls Sector of the Department of Transportation (DOT) Business Unit.
“Ms. Rountree has a proven record of building collaborative relationships with stakeholders, identifying solutions and delivering major infrastructure projects at local, state and federal levels,” said Brad Dennard, Atkins DOT Business Unit Director. “She is a results-driven, effective leader and we are honored to have her on our team.”
As former CEO of Egis Projects, Ms. Rountree developed strategic alliances throughout North America, directing business development initiatives in the U.S. and Canada for transportation projects. In this role she also managed and directed over 500 personnel to implement, operate and maintain an electronic toll collection turnkey system, ensuring successful customer service operations for more than three million toll users.
“Ms. Rountree is a strategic visionary with more than 20 years of executive management and leadership experience within the transportation and service industries,” said Fran O’Connor, Atkins National Tolls Director. “She is a giant in our field and will help us provide an increased level of service and expertise to our clients.”
Other previous experiences include new business development, project start-up, profitability improvement, project management implementation, financial and sensitivity analysis, customer service and toll operation supporting more than 20 toll agencies, transit projects and credential processing for commercial trucking. Ms. Rountree also served as Executive Director of the State Road and Tolling Authority in Georgia, an executive committee member of the Transportation Research Board and an honorary member of the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association. She will be based in the Orlando, Florida, office.
