Norman, Okla., USA: Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group, has welcomed Tim Stewart as Project Director for the Tolls sector of the company’s Department of Transportation (DOT) Business Unit.
“Mr. Stewart is a senior-level executive who has led some of the largest toll agencies in the country,” said Brad Dennard, Atkins DOT Business Unit Director. “His proven capabilities and leadership will help us continue to deliver the quality services for which we are known.”
Mr. Stewart has more than 35 years of experience in the transportation industry. He started his tolling career in 1984 as a transportation maintenance worker with one of the largest networks in the U.S., the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. Over the next 20 years he held several leadership roles until finally serving as Executive Director and leading the team responsible for the financing, operation, maintenance and capital improvement of 605 miles of limited access express toll roads. He left the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority in 2016 to serve as Executive Director for the E-470 Public Highway Authority in Denver, Colorado, which collects and manages approximately $250 million in revenue annually. In this role, he led a team of personnel, consultants and contractors engaged in the operation, maintenance and capital improvement of 47 miles of limited access, urban express toll road.

Mr. Stewart is a Past President and an Honorary Member of the International Bridge Tunnels and Turnpike Association. He will be based in Norman, Oklahoma.
