Hong Kong, February 29, 2024 – AtkinsRéalis (TSX: ATRL), a fully integrated professional services and project management company with offices around the world, has been awarded the Planning and Engineering Study for Lung Kwu Tan Reclamation and the Re-planning of Tuen Mun West Area, Hong Kong, by the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) and Planning Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR). Strategically located in close proximity to Hong Kong International Airport and the Greater Bay Area, this project aims to help address the city’s medium to long-term land supply strategy while achieving carbon neutrality under Hong Kong’s Climate Action Plan 2050.
As part of a joint venture with Arup, AtkinsRéalis will provide multidisciplinary design and engineering consultancy services for this project. This includes technical assessments covering geotechnical engineering, highways, roads, bridges, traffic, water, drainage and sewerage, underpinned by digital technologies as well as carbon and sustainability considerations.
