AtkinsRéalis marks 25 years in Ireland with new growth plan

AtkinsRéalis, a world-class engineering services and nuclear company with offices around the world, has announced ambitious growth plans for its business in Ireland, targeting key sectors and tripling the size of its team. 

AtkinsRéalis is celebrating its 25th anniversary in Ireland this year and is eyeing further growth across the transportation, buildings, energy and water sectors where it is playing a crucial role in shaping large-scale projects that support the state’s growing infrastructure demands.

A significant recruitment drive is also underway to attract the range of professionals needed to join the team to deliver the expected level of growth across Ireland, with plans to take the team from its current level of 370 to c1000 people over the next five years.

With offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Dundalk under the leadership of managing director Martina Finn, AtkinsRéalis Ireland has developed extensive cross-sector expertise in key global markets and this year has won a number of major infrastructure projects, including; NDFA Project Liffey Schools bundle, DART+ MDC and Irish Water’s Water Supply Project.

Martina, who joined the company more than 20-years-ago, said: “AtkinsRéalis is increasingly playing a central role in the delivery of transformative infrastructure and transportation projects in Ireland and we believe there are real opportunities to build on that over the next five years.

“The success of the last 25 years has provided a solid platform for this growth plan and it coincides with a hugely exciting time in our industry where our people can make a real difference in shaping the future of the country’s infrastructure, and tackle some of the biggest challenges we face in terms of a growing population and climate change.”
